We don't drink much - OH has a couple of pints of beer a couple of times a week and I'll have a glass of wine or two once or twice a week and the rest of the bottle is used for cooking ........ but somehow yesterday, after spending the afternoon wielding the new electric lawn rake thingy in very hot and dusty conditions, the very good French rosé just went down like lemonade ............

Yes Joyce. I'll let you know how they taste. I'm trying to convince her to chew things that might help with her teeth cleaning since I havent had success with any of the commercially available ones.
Pat: do you know anyone with a dehydrator? Since Reggie must be the Prince when it comes to HRH and fussy eaters I dehydrate chicken breast (amongst other things) which he chews on happily (he refuses point blank it seems to eat anything mummy hasn't hand made).
Lovely sunny day here, so I went into the stream to weed the banks............. you guessed it, I have just fallen in. Soaked from head to toe, and a bang on the head as well.
I think a spot of sun bathing maybe in order.
Have fun.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Did that ... but obviously not enough water and too much wine
Clari ...no lemonade in the fridge ... only rosé, cider and beer ...bad planning eh?
A piece of toast and marmite has been eaten, the buddleja Miss Ruby has been dead-headed and the sprinkler has been put on the parched front border ... normal service is resuming ... gently ...
We've decided to have 'picnics' for our meals today - OH has been to Wrose and returned with black pudding scotch eggs, saucisson sec, baby gems, crisps and some smoked mackerel, cream cheese and lemons for a paté, and we've lots of tomatoes, basil and mint in the garden and mozarella in the fridge for a tomato and moz salad. Big bottles of fizzy water are in the garage fridge and raspberries will be picked in a moment. There's plenty for everyone, so I'll whisk up some meringues ... can you lot bring cream or ice cream ...

My problem was "moderation". You guys do it very well. I was rubbish at it.
Dove, drink water before and after on a hot day

I'd be sticking to the toast for a hangover
