    Hi all.

    Hope you are having a good BH., fairy excepted. { Not that I hope you are having a bad day fairy! }

    Was looking forward to a nice day, with OH not having to work. She offered to cut the lawns, as I have a sore back again.

    Unfortunately, just as she started, a wasp stung her on the face. She has spent rest of the day lying on the sofa, with a very swollen face, feeling sorry for herself.

    Good to hear your news DD.

    Time for a drink I think.

    My day was good enough ( image ) until I came home and this had been put through the door. Daughter didn't chuck it out - she left it for me on the table....

    Pdoc, hope Mrs Pdoc recovers from the sting incident! Laying on sofa best thing!

    Good to have you back Lilyp image glad the garden has survived!

    Memory now faikls me as I've just completed my  first day as a paid gardener! image I absolutely loved it even though I was bamboo taming for some of the day! image I got a nice chunk donated for my garden which worried Dove immediately as I knew it would image but it will be contained, submerged in a large tub!

    Very muddy and needing a shower and food and a sleep, as when I got home I decided to do some gardening! imageimage

    Night folks image

    She's lucky she's not sleeping in the shed, doc.

    Listening to Johnnie Walker's 'thing' with Dolly, Emmylou and Linda Ronstadt (who I adore) and it's lovely. So sad Linda can no longer sing because of Parkinson's. Her version of Anna McGarrigle's Heart like a Wheel makes me sob like a two year old... image

    Glad I spoke to 'Wonky before I read about the bamboo image

    Have been dining on Pasta Puttanesca on the terrace with OH - a bottle of rosé has been drunk, and he's been on beer image  I've promised not to hit submit before he's seen the typing image  ( i'm a bit squiffly image)

    Weve been playing the dinner party game - you know, who would you invite to eat and get drunk with and put the world to rights with ... well, alongside Stephen Fry (who is apparently on everyone;s list, but at least he lives just up the road from here) several of you made the cut image

    Oh, for those who have family/friends returning from Reading/Leeds, can I claim kudos for my son who will be spending the night unloading, recording and putting into storage all the gear from Biffy Clyro's touring set.  The bottom having fallen out of the antiques market, he's returned to his previous career of sound engineer/roadie/etc and is spending the summer making sense of the contents of huge lorries full of musical instruments, electrical equipment and flying pigs (or similar - I'm probably showing my age).

    Commiserations to Mrs Pdoc ((hugs))  treat her gently Nigel, my bee sting was several days ago and it's still a bit painful and itchy  Tea/coffee in bed tomorrow morning!
