  • A friend sent me this.  I thought it would be too selfish not to share. ;)

Thank you for sharing this, Danae.  Women can't even feed their babies, it would seem, as God/Nature/Evolution intended without having the imagined "decency" squad telling them how they must behave.

I should like to "share" something quite different.  We were recently on the island of Mykonos, where we met a German botanist, who insisted that if you don't want weeds to germinate when you disturb the soil, you should do your digging in the dark.  And she was serious!

By the way, there are some photos here:

Your photo, Danae, reminded me of this:

This happened in America, where decency is a serious matter.....

I think, Sam, the botanist may have a point but how do you dig or hoe in the dark?  I must do some research, before I decapitate all my plants.
  • God protect us all from those squads whose imagined sense of "decency" leaves some of us wondering whether such people simply hate women and the God-given, Natural order of existance.

Perhaps they should pay a visit to the palace of Knossos... ;)

I love the sexual equality here, Artemis.  Both, men and women topless and in beautiful skirts!

A 'weed' is just a plant in the wrong place - subjective! ;)

Yes, Samuel, and Samantha's no intention of forgiving you. ;)

  • The shape of these skirts reminds me of a certain duchess, though the legs aren't thin enough!

Sam, have you followed the advice pf the botanist yet?  Has there been a massacre of the innocents in your garden?

Hi Danae, I thought about it, as the moon has been recently very bright, but it was too cold out there.  Like so many others, I'm the fair weather gardener!

As for the asymmetric hems, which, obviously, have been fashionable since time imemmorial, yes, Meghan appears to have a penchant for the style.  And the legs are
worryingly thin.  But, she did cover up for her wedding.  I'm sure you liked the dress and the whole do.

  • No, I missed that as we were away.  I was back, though, on the following Monday, just in time to hear Vanessa Feltz's rather biting remarks, calling her, "a girly and virginal 36 year old devercee", or words to that effect.  Also, all those twitter memes, making the news on tv and radio- apparently predominently by non-white females- making rude remarks about Chelsy Davy, fully ignoring the fact that it was she who'd left Harry, not the other way round.  Never mind the comments about her "superb acting ability" when she chose to enter the church alone....  I was somewhat surprised.
