He has a degree in fine arts. He was being pretentious when he was playing "normal bloke". now he's being normal. See?

Yeh - they started in theatre design or wardrobe or summat, didn't they Pp? image

I think it's quite a pleasant show, while I now can't bear MrT's gushing so I don't watch his  image

Horses for courses- as with all TV programmes  image

Is it just my imagination, or is Jamie Oliver losing his 'mockney' accent too? Heard him on the radio the other day.

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

One thing always surprises me.... if you don't like it, why watch it? image image image

I have to say the " let's see if we can make everyone blub at the end" format doesn't appeal to me. Love your garden and the house building/ fixing  one. No thanks.

Quite so Panda. It's like sticking your hand back in the fire after you've been burned...image

Managed to catch it for the first time yesterday (retired couple with a stream at the bottom of the garden), thought it was OK. Nice to see some ordinary people getting a look in on a makeover show, without the need of a sob story.

Only seen AT's love your garden a couple of times and it's always about the "story" and the "big reveal". Call me hard hearted but I'm more interested in the practicalities of making the garden.

As Fairygirl says it's horses for courses, my next-door neighbour was shocked when I said I didn't watch x-factor or any soap operas on TV image.  " What do you watch????" She asked with a puzzled look on her face, to which I replied "Documentaries, comedy and I do like a good drama". She simply shook her head in disbelief (I think she feels a little bit sorry for me) image

If they did that Verdun then someone would squeak about wasting time with Spirea and begonias! image

Kitty - I don't watch soaps or X-factor or the Voice either.   Documentaries, news and current events, some thrillers plus Strictly, gardening (not Love your garden) and cooking for me (no more HBs either cos Myers is a pirrock).   Like Si tho.

I have all of this series to watch yet except yesterday's which I enjoyed because it had features I like and was a good design and I suspect this couple will keep it maintained so it has sustainability.

Obelixx: image.  We must be a glitch in the TV  planners agenda.

I would never dream of criticizing others viewing choice's, after all there are enough channels out there to accommodate everyone's tastes. People who complain seem to have forgotten how to use the off button image

DHR's mention of Michael Aspel did remind me of "Give Us A Clue" and I missed out of my list that I love a good quiz show image
