Did the rest of the country get sun again? The Met Office said we'd have a nice day but it was cold and wet. Far from spring here just yet.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

We didn't have sun yesterday @wild edges. Bits of smirr now and again, but mainly cloudy.
Sunday was lovely though, which was when I took my crocus pic. Usual kind of stuff since then, although the sun is trying to make an appearance just now.

I thought I'd replied to @Buttercupdays' post, but it's not worked. I saw a lovely big flock of redwings the other day, but I couldn't have got a pic even if I'd had the camera. It's always a bit annoying when those things happen, but lovely if you get to see them nevertheless.
I'm enjoying seeing the little pair of long tailed tits that have been visiting regularly, and they do seem to be 'a pair' which is nice. They love the fat balls I have just now. A bit too much!

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Long tailed tits are great.

We had sun yesterday and I saw a few bees, including one in trouble (i think!). I went out running and saw one sitting on the path. It was still there when I returned about 20 mins later so I decided to interfere and pushed it onto a leaf to pick it up. Of course all the dandelions suddenly disappeared and I didn't know where to put it. Found some daisies in the end, not sure if I really helped it but it would've got trodden on if it wasn't moved at least.

Two goldfinches stuffing their faces at the sunflower hearts feeder this afternoon! They are really rare visitors in our garden, we just have to make do with siskins, nuthatches, greater spotted woodpeckers and bullfinches at the feeder. Never saw any of these at our previous house, but had up to twenty goldfinches visiting the feeders every day.

Chiffchaffs singing today & Skylark yesterday. In the village but not in the garden.
    Clay soil - Cheshire/Derbyshire border

I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful

We have long tailed tits, but rarely see a siskin. We get goldfinches, bullfinches, greenfinches, blue tits , great tits, coal tits,  the robins, wren, blackbirds, dunnocks, wood pigeons,  and occasionally see the goldcrest.  Sparrowhawks do fly byes.  The day we had an escaped Northern Goshawk on the patio got us excited.  Flippin huge.
