  • Re birds flying into windows:  I think I remember @wild edges used some sort of adhesive spots on his, which looked transparent but reflected UV light or some such... apparently they use them on high rise buildings.
    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Yep. We've got a transparent butterfly on every window facing the garden and haven't had a bird strike in a long time. Apparently they're very bright to a bird's eyesight but less obvious to us.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    Deer can clear a six foot fence from a standing start 
    It's why deer fences are the height they are  ;)

    Those spots/butterflies sound very good @wild edges. They'd interest me too.
    Could have saved me from buying a flippin' expensive wooden blind as well  ;)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Trying to be the person my dog thinks I am!
