This is my front garden @Fire . This part is gravel (awaiting being turned into bonded gravel parking) the other side is lawn. When we moved in it was a mass of tangled growth, three bin bags full, but each year slightly less appear .Last year hubby pulled everything out before they half grew so didn't think anything would come up this year, but as usual these native poppies come up. I don't mind them for the month or so they are there they give plenty of colour, and the bees love them. This is a picture of the patch, a very wet bedraggled after two days of rain picture. 😆
For a pile of stones it takes a lot of looking after. I'm forever having to sweep the paths ( blackbirds) of stones and weed it @Fire The other side was the same, but we had that put to lawn. I would rather have tubs of flowers to bring colour all year round I think, that could be moved when its needed for visitors.
Finally got a good photo of the frog in our garden. I feel bad cutting down the grass he likes to hide in, but it's more invassive weeds than grass. There's other bits he can hide in. I'm hoping he'll hop into next doors pond.
And there's all the baby frogs escaping from the burn. I feel so bad so the number that are run over by cyclists.
The deer was munching June drop apples last night when a little fox popped up. She wasn't happy about that and chased it round the garden! I have seen them chase cats before but that is the first time I have seen them chase foxes. My OH managed to grab a quick pic of the pair in full flight.
