Lovely @Jacquimcmahon, they are beautiful moths. Their primary food plant is ragwort, but I think they are gernerally attracted to areas of long grass and scrubby land
We've got this little beasty living on our eleagnus quicksilver. I swear he's growing every day - he can't be far off 2 inches long now! I hope he's not a pest because he's very cute.

It is a Garden Tiger Moth. Nothing to worry about!

Looks like a 'woolly bear,' grows into a Garden Tiger moth. As a kid I used to raise them in jam jars and my brother and I would have caterpillar races on the back steps
Slow worms are starting to bask in the open now we’ve had a good stretch of sun and also wet nights. Usually plenty under my refugia but nice to see them in the open.
