@Joyce Goldenlily if any of your neighbours have a determined golden labrador she'll take a bantam or two very cleanly. The third she'll take home to mummy because even greedy labradors have a limit! 😳
  • I have a Shi Tzu, Robbie, who has already killed one of her bantam chicks which strayed into my garden somehow!
To look at him butter wouldn't melt in his mouth but try a chicken running around and he turns into a chicken killer.

We domesticated cats and dogs specifically  to kill animals - and that's what they do.

Cambridge Folk Festival. Feel quite privileged to see this admiral enjoying music 😊

Pleasantly surprised to see 5 different species of butterfly on a single buddleia bush this morning. Peacock, Red Admiral, Large White, Painted Lady and Silver Wash Fritillary. Locally, there definitely appears to be more butterflies around compared to last year during the heatwave 😊

Presumably the larvae did well in the heatwave last year.

I saw a Gatekeeper on my phlox bloom just now - I've never seen that butterfly in my garden. A beautiful very dark orange.
