    I've kissed worse o:)
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

They are too darn quick to get a picture of, but I have flycatchers flitting all over my Russian sage catching the hoverflies, little bees, and other pollinators.  I suppose I did plant it for wildlife.. but it feels a bit like putting out a bird seed feeder for the hawk!

  • The presence of my five rescued cats plus the visits by the only other cat on the island tends to inhibit other wild life; but the bees are nearby in great numbers,. I had no idea lupins were so attractive to them, and watching them attend to tiny chickweed flowers is awesome

Glad to see you got the blue lupins you wanted.

I think that was someone else? I would have liked varied colours.

No it was definitely Islander ... and that's you isn't it @islandanchoress :) ?  You liked the wild yellow lupins and would have liked some blue ones but were unable to get any ... I was able to source some and sent them to you, not long after I sent you some knitting needles
At least it looks as if they arrived safely  :)

Oh I remember! Those were tree lupins and they are well grown but will not flower until next year. So looking forward to that as they are large shrubs. These now are  the ordinary garden lupins; I grew from a packet of them last year and they overwintered well. They were supposed to be mixed colours,  NB those  packets in the post  had no name or return address on  so I put out a general thank you on the list. THANK YOU again. Mystery solved. I was offline a few months because of illness.
