    That brambling looks like he's having an existential crisis.

    No sign of the Wren using the blue tit box this year, even though he is hopping around the garden. The other box has been inspected by a pair of blue tits for the past month, but I understand this is quite normal behaviour

    My camera is terrible at focusing on moving objects so I'm pleased with this slightly blurry photo. She was circling overhead for a few minutes just enjoying the sun I think.

    The first House Martin paid a brief visit today. Ironically I'd been out looking for spring migrants in a nearby country park this morning and seen bugger all. Even Willow Warblers are unbelievably late this year. But back at home I nearly choked on my lunch when the House Martin flew over.
