Well my son could certainly do with some of that this year @Bluejayway 👍

@Twa_Pehs Lovely to see your Tiger moth pics. When I was a child I used to collect their caterpillars, lovely 'woolly bears' and rear them in a jamjar. Brother and I held caterpillar races on the back steps! Not all bad though, I managed to rear some to full blown moths as well :)

Dozy pigeon still there … it’s moved off the log pile and back on again, but it’s still on the ground … I’ve put a handful of sunflower hearts nearby … yes I know I’m sorft 🙄

Herman the Squab is still on the woodpile but he’s looking much perkier … bright-eyed upright rather than hunched as earlier, and moving his head to watch us as we move around the garden. I think he might be going to make it … 🤞 🕊

When birds crashed my windows I always rushed out and put them in a little box kept specially for casualties and put them in a quiet place overnight. 'No need' says Mellors who knows stuff. Place them upright in grass or a bush or whatever and they'll come round eventually if they're going to.

Maybe he's found a good billet and knows how to play the wounded soldier for sympathy.
