Don't think I could sleep in a bedroom striped as you describe, Obelixx... best wishes to the clematis though.
Drizzle is the permanent feature of today. Yesterday was lovely though, so OH and I went on a lovely walk in the hills, only 6 miles or so but very varied scenery, ending up at a pub for lunch. At one point on our walking route we could see Pendle hill, Ingleborough and Whernside ahead of us, and Stoodley Pike (our local summit) behind - it was wonderfully clear. Lots of flowers and butterflies too.
Bus home, then I picked the fruit (plenty of blueberries this year, and an almost overwhelming supply of raspberries) and cut the grass. I was very upset to find I'd killed a kamikaze toad, which leapt out of the border in front of the mower...
More raspberry jam making this afternoon. It seems to make very acceptable "thank you for feeding the cat" presents for neighbours. Which is a good thing, because we haven't finished eating 2013's vintage yet.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Liri - the pheasants have had our blueberries this year apart from the few I glean when passing to feed the birds. I made purple gooseberry and elderflower jam at the weekend. Hope the new neighbours like it as I have pots to give away. Love the Pendle hill and Ribble valley area.
Here are some of the stripes. The other small bedroom has the same stripes but with blue walls and an orangey sort of floor.......... You do see why the stripes and the orange have to go.
Possum's room has a black and white mural sized photo of New York harbour and skyline with a a painted red border on one wall and dark grey on the others. She might keep the photo but not the grey. Too very dull and dark.
The garden is currently a wild meadow formerly trimmed by 2 sheep so OH will strim and chop wood for kindle while I paint cos he can't drive a paintbrush to my satisfaction.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
I spent an hour watering this morning, then it started raining, so we went shopping.
I got a new bed in the sale and a discount on the sale price with a voucher code I found online. It was supposed to be used on the website, but the woman in the shop didn't argue. If she did I was going to walk out and order it online, after I had tested all the beds in the shop of course. Verdun would be proud of me.
Then we went into Nottingham and bought a new laptop to replace the current one which was bought in 2007 and can't be updated any more.(3 years free warranty at John Lewis) Hubby is setting it up while I get to use the old one.
I suppose I had better see what is in the freezer for dinner.
Poured all morning so I went to the tip with some of yesterdays makings (still haven't moved the logs). Called at the garden centre and had a lovely chat with "the nice man" (FG ) about my Bee Dance Bidens which is a HUGE success for both flowering and bee dancing and then stopped at the auction to pick up my £2 weed'n'feed sower thingy which appears to be working. A good day out and all before lunch. Potted on loads of stuff and now my posterior is on the sofa and won't move for a while.
Yes I have just noticed the labels too, I will replace?
What a busy time everyone is having I have read back but there is just sooo much to mention, however I am sure everyine will agree it is lovely to see Punk doc, ?

Lilly Pilly , why wait for Christmas for Kir Royal
I made some Blackcurrant vodka last year. We haven't tried it out yet, I didn't bottle it until March.
I did freeze five pounds of Blackcurrants yesterday. I have another bush to pick yet.
