Evening all. Is everyone still outside? image

I've been busy outside and my hands are weary sawing and putting the gate together. Back is sore too so I'm off to watch that Garden Rescue programme now, and then off to bed.

Walking tomorrow up Glenshee way as the weather's favourable.

Topbird - if you're looking in - there was a programme on last night and tonight, 7pm BBC2 with Cameron McNeish. The Scottish National trail, which goes from Yetholm to Cape Wrath, via Perthshire. I didn't realise it was on till it was nearly finished, but it's on iPlayer. I recorded the one tonight but it doesn't seem to be available on catch up. The bit I saw looked good though  image

Enjoy the rest of your evening,  anyone who looks in  image

Good evening all image  Just back from a picnic on the beach - lovely evening, beautiful cloud formations, tide going out gently and children paddling and building castles.  Then I watched recording of GW and now I'm watching a recording of QI .......... I'll be asleep in a minute image

We went to the supermarket this morning, then we bought a new TV for the bedroom. Still had an old very fat one there.

Internet has been a bit iffy today.

Getting up early tomorrow to go to French Mass with Anglican friends to show sympathy for the murder of the French priest.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Morning everyone. HRH and I have been for a good walk this morning - well it's nearly lunch time, but I had a bucket of ash to get rid of from the heater, so I decided to carry it up the hill to the old potato bed which is currently doormant, then spotted pine cones under next door neighbours pine (Pinus radiata) which hangs over our fence, so with empty bucket in hand we went scouting for pine cones for the heater. One thing led to another and now my "wrist thingie" shows I've done 1600 steps. A bit of a change from the last few weeks.

I'm out of breath now, but I have a few choice little pine cone that are crying out to be sketched. image I'm out of practice, so this'll be a challenge. These little cones are from one of our Japanese Pine trees, so the cones are only about 6 cm in length. Very cute though and the dreaded Black Cockatoos don't seem to have discovered them, as opposed to the cones from our Pinus pinea which are the ones that have pine nuts in them. The birds always get to them before they are ready to harvest.image

Anyway, the day is lovely and sunny after a very heavy frost, and surprise, surprise, no wind. What a change.

    Cach you all later.

Ps. Panda, I didn't mean to make you feel guilty about not being on, it's just been so different since the program was changed

    Good morning all, hi Patimage

Pat well done with the stepsimage.  HRH will need her knitted coats now she's had a shaveimage.

Dove, the picnic on the beach sounded lovely.  Can't remember the last time I was on a beachimage.

Lizzie, a very sad day for you all at the service (hugs).

Lily have fun with bedroom decorating.  We did ours earlier this year and I'm still happy with how it looks every time I open the door.  The dog is not allowed in any more which will keep it nicer for longer.  She's just directed into son's roomimage.

Today will consist of washing, pottering, shopping, more washing etc.  What an exciting lifeimageimage.  Have a good day everyoneimage.

Morning all/afties Pat. Sounds like you had a good day and a lovely walk. Hope you'll let us see the pine cone drawings  image

BL - very sad outing for you. I've found that to be the worst of all the recent vile events. I know that may sound strange, but if you just think about it - the circumstances. Nothing is sacred.

Off to the hills soon, dropping daughter at work on the way. A later start than normal, but there's no public transport to get to where we work. I'll miss all the commuter traffic so it's all fine.

Looking good for the weather and it seems like it's to be wet here anyway. I'd be decorating too if I stayed here  image The garden can wait till tomorrow  when I have no car.

Glad you had a nice picnic Dove.

Better go and make shapes...or something.  I'm not really 'down with the kids' am I? image

I will catch up with you all later. Have a good day everyone. image
