They might have a touch of purple Joyce - some are the pure white Thimble one, the others are Pam's Choice, which has deep reddish purple spotting in the throat. Don't know which one the seedlings will be most like!
Hosta - you should sell them on eBay
You're right about the 10 pence. What's that about?
Veins being snipped, kidneys, hearts, liver....thought I'd wandered onto the set of Casualty for a moment there....
to all of it....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Can't say I'd fancy any of that either. Been a busy day with five loads of washing, three beds changed, a. It of deadheading, weeding and planting some of the pots-in -waiting on the patio. Fortunately it only started raining once I'd finished and before I'd watered them in.
Rb were you getting a new courtesy car or is it your new one?
Give us a nice big smile Hosta. I dread to think how much it would have been if it was private.
Fairy it's quite strange but we've got mostly white foxgloves this year. Usually they are all pink so I bought a white one and the 'freebies' have turned out the same.
Evening all, Funny day today, it's either been sunny and warm or throwing it down with rain. I've been in and out like a bobhowler. Managed to get the lawns mowed, some cutting back and deadheading, also planted a dierama and a penstemon Raven. I've bought a new Honeysuckle, Rhubard & Custard, but have no idea where I'll put it
Somehow, I've managed to hurt my back, think I must have slept awkwardly at Firstborns last night, so I'm sitting with a hot water bottle on my back trying to ease it a little.
Haven't had chance to read back so hope everyone is OK.
Just had a quick read back - wish I'd never mentioned ox heart - most offal is pretty offal IMO - exceptions being very thin slices of pan fried calves liver and chicken liver pate but we don't often have those either. The thought of stuffing a heart
Glad you're not going to be going round with a hole in your mouth Hosta
Lesly - My foxgloves have nearly all been white this year as well - how strange.... I blame Boris
Have done a cycle ride today - not very far - 26 miles. Managed to dodge a couple of heavy showers - thought the rain was not due till 6pm - they got that wrong again.
As I said it wasn't too far and although it was quite rolling landscape it wasn't too arduous but... I am now absolutely cream crackered. I can't get warm & I feel very achey & headachey. Feel a bit too. Really hope I'm not coming down with something. We've a big family do in Yorkshire on Sunday & I'm supposed to be supplying dinner.
Might have to give them 10 bob and send them down the chippy
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
I'm hoping mine come out white or as near as possible Lesley. There aren't many common foxgloves close by, and I don't think anyone round about me has foxgloves. Not that I've seen anyway.
I'm very excited as one of my Harebells has opened
I'm quite ridiculously giddy

Topbird, I hope you feel better soon. YvieStevie, hope your back is feeling less sore soon.
I wish this weather would pick up and stay good! Been a bit anxious the last couple of days and I really could have done with being able to spend some prolonged time out in the garden, since it has become my little safe haven, but the weather just won't co-operate. I did manage a small window of time out this afternoon though, pottering about with the camera. I cut a few stems off one of the hydrangeas and brought them inside, and having a few blooms in the house seems to be a bit of a pick me up too.

Runny, he's worn 2 of those shirts once and the other remains unworn in the wardrobe with other stupidly overpriced , and underworn, shirts.
Lovely sunny late afternoon which seems to be coming the norm in this area
Fairy, I will keep your white foxglove seedlings in mind
I already have some but want to pack a good few into a shady corner.
Sweet peas and lilies are opening at long last
