Good morning all, hi Pat if you're aboutimage

Thanks for the welcome backimage  Good to see you Panda and glad camp went well apart from the beastie bitesimage.  Dove I always do as I'm toldimageimage.  Fairy our ceilings aren't high enough for chandeliers but I should really stop swinging on the wardrobe doorimage.  I was actually trying to pull the sofa to get to some crumbs (obviously the diet has put me in starvation mode) my hands slipped and I fell back onto the coffee table.  Feeling a lot better now thoughimage.  Saw the PM LilyP, thank youimage.

Yvie, what a great opportunity for more plants.  I'm glad the men did a good job and tidied up - sometimes they don'timage.  We once found loads of branches behind the hedge after some cowboys came to top the conifersimage

What room are you decorating Lily?

Have a good day - I'll  be back later if the wifi stays on todayimage

    Morning!

Hooray - we have a some light rain. Gave the woodland border a good soaking yesterday with the sprinkler so, hopefully, this rain will actually sink in and do some good rather than just bouncing off the compacted surface.image

Welcome home Panda - big bite might be a horse fly. I was bitten on my leg 2 weeks ago and it's still a bit itchy, swollen and achey. Horrid things.

Looking forward to the pics Yvie - always a bit of a shock when you have big stuff removed from the garden.

Off to SM now - later on I might try to clear up some the hazel branches I lopped yesterday. Only if it's dry though - and I really don't mind if it rains all day every day for the next week (it won't...)

Good morning everyone.ive been flopping since we got home from town today. Nearly fell asleep. HRH has had a shampoo and shave, my car has been checked and passed for registration renewal, Hubby has been to the chiropractor for his weekly massage/adjustment, and I've been running all around town buying groceries. Whew!  Still wearing long sleeves and knitted vests to keep warm, but it was at least sunny today. (the bit I had time to notice).image

I'm glad to see some of the regulars coming back on line. It's been feeling a bit strange lately. image

Hello, back from tennis and a bit of a food shop ...... just having a sandwich then I'll unpack the shopping and make a picnic for this evening's trip to the beach.

Blue skies and white fluffy clouds here now ... so not a lot of rain.

GWRS image  When I was working there was a Wyevale (with a very good café) just around the corner from my office so I spent quite a bit there ... membership of the Garden Club was useful as I got quite good money-off vouchers from accumulated points and members also got reductions on compost and other stuff.  That was 2+ years ago - don't know if it's still the same.

I get vouchers from Wyevale too. Very useful at times. They tend to reduce all seeds to 50p a packet around the end of August and send an email so good for buying seeds for next year (But not parsnips or onions, always get new)

They also have a guarantee on perennial plants, so when the hellebore I bought from them died, I took it back and had my money back. (keep receipts)

Hello , I think I will join nothing to lose , will have a drive over to Wyevdale to have a look round

    Thanks for input image

    nce and sunny now

  • Afternoon all.

I fell asleep at 9pm last night and slept through until 7.30 this morning!  Feeling a bit worn out still, I think it must be the chronic pain from my hips, it's particularly bad at the moment as I'm having a flare up and most of the muscles in my legs have gone really tight.  Physio gave me some exercises to do when I went in today, was supposed to be a pilates session, but that wasn't going to happen with the was things are.  Bit frustrating as I'd love to be doing more in the garden.....but there are worse things that could happen.

I did get myself a lovely Cornus alba Westonbirt using a reward voucher from a local nursery.  I'm already looking forward to seeing it in the winter!
