Makes me feel itchy just looking at it. No use against the virus with those big holes either but probably great for cold winter days and a very clever knit too.

The cake isn't big enough for the apostles to practise social distancing, and it would take too long to explain why they are ducks, it's a family tradition. I think the duck hiding his head in the water is probably Peter, ashamed of having denied Jesus. Either that or he's self-isolating.
Not exactly crafty but I have made 6 masks this pm - all blue for Possum. 3 with tapes for tying which will react better to hot washing to kill bugs and 3 with elastic cos I ran out of tape.

Obelixx are they the ones with a pocket for a filter? I’ve made some too but I find the pleating fiddly your pleat method seems easier, wondering if I could make it work with the double thicknesss fabric.
Marne la vallée, basically just outside Paris 🇫🇷, but definitely Scottish at heart.
@Jacquimcmahon I've used a double layer of woven cotton with an intermediate layer of fine cotton jersey as this is supposed to be a good filter. It will protect others from my sneezes and coughs but not protect us for more than an hour or so from anyone else - long enough for the weekly SM raid.
I tried one with fancier pleating but it's a fiddle for me too so now I find the mid point and make two pleats about 2.5 cms either side of that.
This is the reverse side
@AuntyRach The basic pattern starts with 2 x 20 x 17cm pieces of fabric which are stitched, right sides together leaving a gap to turn it right side out. You then stitch round the edge to hold it all in place, make the folds on the 17cm sides and stitch those down then add a 17cm piece of elastic either side with about 1cm stitched down to hold it in place either end. I made the tapes for tying 16cms long. I also widened some of the masks to 23cms to try on OH as he has a beard which is better covered than not.

lots of work there. 😁👏
I have just completed my latest knitting project. I think it's what they call "a fashion statement".

Good looking cake tho not for us as we don't like marzipan.
I think we will be asking you for the method in a few weeks, as I predict we will be asked to wear them in the U.K. too.
