Not sure this counts as craft... but this is Eric, made from recycled copper. I prefer to work with black iron but had the old copper (found in a field) that's got some gorgeous blues in and I wanted to make a cockerel with it.

I had a cat called Eric !  He died just before our first lockdown, 10 weeks short of his 22nd birthday.

your work of art has inspired me to have a go at producing a ‘memorial’ to Eric.  xx

I am very happy to have inspired you, it sounds a lovely thing to do. How are you going to do it? And please show us the results.

@NormandyLiz your Eric is wonderful - and the nearest my hen is likely to get to a cockerel.   He also has the virtue of being silent but I do love Bess's chunterings when we're down in the potager where she lives.

I’m thinking of a “mosaic” picture paving stone of him, to place in the sunny spot where he used to sprawl 😍   A winter project so there won’t be anything to show for a while yet !
