Evening all, not a bad day today, left firstborn's this morning after a stint of nanna duty and popped into Ashwoods on my way home, picked up Sidalcea Elsie Heugh, and Delphinium Astolate. Delphiniums have all failed in my garden this year, very disappointed, will have to sow some seed I think.
Came home and spent the rest of the day in the garden, everything looks so lovely and lush at the moment.
LP Congratulations to all concerned re your good news.
The washing machine is STILL working hard for a living. I think I have about three or four washes left.
How the devil you cope when you have children I have no idea! This is two people and a spoilt dog.
Dove; I have a Swiss chard that I thought had died in its pot. It was discarded on a heap of earth.
This year it reappeared and is now over 6ft tall. SIX ROMAN FEET. I felt too guilty after thinking it dead to harvest it. I'm hoping I can harvest seeds from it?
T'bird - if you're around - I didn't realise there was a programme you might enjoy on BBC2 - but it's nearly finished. It's called Colin Prior - Mountain Man. He's a famous photographer who does beautiful landscapes of the hills, and not just in Britain. If you can download, you'll be able to catch it. I've seen it before, and it's terrific, but I think it was before you asked me to let you know when these progs were on.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Evening all. Gosh typing on an iPad shows such tiny writing compared with a lap top!
Our friends left this morning. This afternoon we went to The old Vicarage Grden at East Ruston. Fabulous, such a variety of styles of garden. We met Alan the owner and had our photos taken with him. He was so friendly.
OH is using the laptop and I must go and cook.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Spent a lovely afternoon with Charlie at Pony Club & then we got an ice cream at a local cafe and enjoyed the sunshine - at last, 31 degrees today.
Did a BBQ tea, Charlie helped ( in-between dips in the pool). Now he is on Skype to a little boy in England, he should be on bed really but this is a special friend who is going through a difficult time, his mum has just had her leg amputated to save her life.
Lesson learned, always someone worse off than you. Be grateful for small mercies. ?
Clari, I have 6 super king sheets and 2 single sheets in the queue for the washer if you have room, I've done all the towels and pillowcases and pool towels already. ?
Lizzie, do you get to see the cottage in daylight ever, you seem to enjoy a lot of gallivanting about? ?
Good night all, off to bed, even if Charlie is still up, I'm pooped.
