Afternoon all. Just nipping in very quickly (too much work not enough tea) to say hello. If anyone could lend me a hair dryer I need to dry the lawn so I can cut it before it gets so long I loose the hound in it!

The rain has held off, just. Soil is moved and it's time for a cuppa.

  • Hi All,

l love your chatter. first time for me on this thread.  Does anyone remember a thread that a young woman put in about an awfull person next door killing off her bamboo plants and harassing her.  Couldn't see anymore about it and tried to fnd it again but to no avail.  Just needed to know she was alright and bearing up.  Great day in the garden today. Planting containerised roses. Buying then now means I can see if all the grafts have taken.

  • Do you all manage to read the post you put in after you post it , as  I cant. Is there something wrong with my computer. All help appreciated.

Beaus mum, you're quite right about the visitors not noticing - it's only family, after all - but without the visitors I wouldn't be motivated into doing the repairs. image

Just bought a lovely little rose bush from Lidl for £1.69.  Very pretty pink, and a lovely fresh plant.  I will therefore stop filling holes in the house for long enough to dig one in the garden (the tiny strip outside the living room window) for my new purchase.  image

After you with the hairdryer, Clari!

Welcome Valerie!  I can see what I've posted while I'm typing it, and again in a different format after I've pressed "submit".  Presumably you can read your posts now?

Hi Valerie. There was an update to the sabotage thread. The "culprit" had been recorded on a return visit on the newly installed CCTV and the police are now involved. The thread appears to have been removed.

    Hello, I'm back image

Nurse says it's all very red and swollen in there and that it looks very painful - I assured her it is. I have come home with Clarithromycin tablets and Difflam throat spray both on prescription, and soluble paracetamol. I have been told to rest so I'm on the sofa in front of the tennis - every cloud has a silver lining image

Valerie, have you accidentally 'Ignored' yourself?

    Evening all,

Have read back but forgot most of it.  I know that someone's friend was going through a very hard time, was it Lilly.  I hope they get the help they need.

Dove hope you feel better soon.

I too am feeling a bit down following all the bad news lately, it seems that whatever way I turn something awful is happening.

Great to hear from you Beau's Mum.

Have been on Nanna Duty today, a bit hectic as youngest grandaughter has decided to use the potty finally.  Lots of dashing up and down stairs, only one accident so she's doing quite well.

Had some heavy downpours today, the weather looks a bit more settled over the next week so hopefully will get some gardening done.
