Joyce and Pat, glad I'm not the only one that relays on this bunch for company sometimes, made me feel a bit pathetic typing it but its true. Being a country girl in the middle of a city, I feel a little out of place anyway and like I said, most people my age have kids and are busy, so little chance to meet like minded people. I'm perfectly intelligent enough to entertain myself, garden, reading etc and working full time keeps me busy but when my hubby is fixing computers or DJ ing its nice to have a bit of a chat with people that hold similar interests. Everyone on here has supported each other through difficult personal times and I don't think that is replaceable just by finding another forum! image x

I think lots of us have found great support on this forum Wonks. It would be very sad if it all fell apart.

I mentioned on another thread about the new one that Nora has started showing all the issues raised. They seem to be taking note and are going to address them. Here's hoping it happens soon. image

I also darkened my screen by using the 'fn' and 'f5' keys. It helps a bit - not perfect, but as a temporary fix it might be useful to anyone finding the screen too bright.

Does anyone else think the 'Unfollow/follow' and 'Reply' functions at the top of the page are a total waste of space, or is it just me?  image

    Well said WW.

Thought of you whilst watching film of Prince's Sign of the Times tour last night.

I agree Fairy. How do you know you want to reply until you have read the posts!

Successfully managed to dig small holes for small plants while wearing the hand splintimage.  The outside steps are now a bit clearer.  Lots more to be done but I don't want to risk using a spade yet.

Wonky; you wouldn't chuffing believe it but...

I've hit the age when friends are getting pregnant DELIBERATELY.

Seriously I swear someone must have sent a memo round they're all at it! Even the sensible ones.

Fortunately I don't check my inbox very often so have missed out on the latest batch of sproglet's.

    Afternoon all ?

Packed in early today at work ? Everything done so why not ?

We are having a 'market day' type challenge tonight at Guides where the girls have to 'pay' for bits to do challenges and then they 'earn' money for completing them ? Should be fun! Wish we lived near Clari, think they would enjoy a sleepover at her gaff ?

Right, better get changed and get my bits together ???

Love your Panda emojis - how did you do those Panda? image

Joyce - you must be very fed up with the splint! I just don't really see the point of the two functions. If you wnat to reply you just type a post after the last one!

I'm about to cut my grass as the site has been largely cleared of c*** and I can actually see it! I might even tie in the clematis on the fence as they've sprouted and are taking over the universe.

    Ok - that's a slight exaggeration....image
