Wonky, if you want no traffic noise, ask Dove about our place, you're both more than welcome to come visit.

Glad you liked the cake Wonky - it was the first time I'd made that recipe - Mary Berry's Lemon Griestorte - no butter and no flour, so virtually a health food - and the cream and lemon curd contain calcium and Vitamin C, not to mention the raspberries image

    Joy!

The stream that runs through our garden, joins a larger stream, in a field about 500 yards away.

I decided to go and see what was about, and saw a pair of Dippers.

How can you lie there and think of England

I know what you mean about the silence and the dark Hosta, the only light we have is  the aerial mast on Princetown, and if it's foggy we don't even see that. No houses for mile  a half. And they are down a dip so wouldn't see that anyway.

weather not bad today, Suns trying to shine.

Hosta - are you hoping she's going to bring her Navy with her? image

  • Morning all,

Just back from French class, normally there are about 6 or 8 of us, today there was just 2 of us so feeling the pressure of having to look like I knew what I was doing, no chance of getting missed at the back of the class. image Today we had to role play being at a traffic management meeting in Paris and discuss the pluses and minuses of various ways of reducing traffic jams and pollution - I would have struggled with maintaining focus in English, never mind in French. image

Now, all the guests have gone and the house looks like a bomb site so a definite blitz is required before I go on hols, shame because the weather is lovely and I could quite happily spend the day in the garden. Where will my conscience take me.....image

Happy Birthday to Wonky, and perhaps if the car hire company don't supply a SatNav I could borrow it for a day or two, I've got a lot of places to go in a short space of time and haven't got time to get lost, might miss out on my Hot Cross Bun (s). image

Happy Hols to you too Bizzie. image

Now, I really must get focused on my chores! Good day all. image

come  on now DD, Surely discussing traffic management problems in Paris is a hot topic in your neck of the woods?

You need to be able to play an active part in the conversation.image
