Thanks Pdoc ~The Lovely Home is marvellous - it's in the little town where my parents have lived for nearly 40 years and when Pa was first there Ma was able to visit every day and spend all day there and have meals with him, so when she became infirm she just moved into the next room available. There are only fifteen residents, and the staff care for them as if they were family, but with professional expertise. It's just wonderful.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
If it's the little town I think it is then my grandparents retired there. Grandpa died at home, aged 72, after a heart attack, I was 4 and went to stay. I remember taking him his medicine, Granny had him moved to the study, I remember sitting on the blue candlewick bedspread and talking to him while I drew pictures. His uncle and his grandfather were both Mayors of Norwich and Gilman Street in Norwich is named after them. Granny stayed in that town by the sea and we used to go every year on holiday when I was a child.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Overcast this morning but dry and very light wind. I think I might have to take it easy today. Feeling really sore all over and a blinding headache, almost like a hangover, but clearly not.
OH working in town today so I think I might just have a bit of a potter in the tunnels and not do too much.
BL - yes that's the place. Ma has a lovely view across the common to the harbour - it's a place she's always loved
Hosta - thanks ((hugs)) . And drink a couple of large glasses of water - sounds like a bit of dehydration. Many headaches are due to that rather than anything else.
Topbird - OH looked out of the window for the swan I told him was on the lawn.

Nice one Dove!
Looked in on the Norwich peregrines this morning. Pleased to see she was looking into camera and talking today - had 5 mins looking at a stationary rear view yesterday. Have we seen any eggs yet?
Time for coffee now
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

That must really put your mind at rest Dove. If only such Homes were the norm.
The ospreys have been very active this morning with the female constantly rearranging her nest.
OH had to get up for 1st day at work since last Saturday just before 4am this morning.
I got up to make him some tea & informed him we'd got up an hour early / must have made a mistake with clocks changing / setting alarm etc.
Scramble to check watches etc - till I reminded him of the date.....
Very cruel at that time in the morning
Nice & sunny so will be outside if you need me...
Morning all.
Glad Ma is so well looked after.
