  • Hi All,

No chance to read back, busy day (as ever). Charlie & I spent the evening playing Monopoly as electrician had to cut all power to sockets to fix something - no TV - heaven (apart from the fact I got thrashed by an 8 year old), think I may 'pull the plug' more often. image

Went to visit a friend this afternoon who has been very poorly, we were very worried actually but hadn't dared to say, anyway, turns out all is well, doctors have found the cause of the pain and have treatment in place. Really good news. imageWonderful woman and the thought of it being some thing serious was very upsetting. So pleased for her and all the family/ Thought nice to share good news. image

Btw, Lizzie, I have now invited her to your Strawberry Tea, do I need to book the extra place?

Gerbils are cute Dove, missing having a pet. image

You won't be popular with Logan!

Ah, now I gotcha. Lawns, unless left to grow naturally, are basically green concrete. I feel here that the tree and plants that will replace it will give a far better wildlife habitat than the mossy patch I removed.

Hi Steve the Gardening Vet. Haven't seen you for ages. The driveway looks very neat and will be much easier to live with.

  • Hi Pat, I've not really had anything interesting to say!

The drive will allow both cars to be on the drive and leave without moving the other. I'm looking forward to planting it nicely. I hope.

Check out crab apple "gorgeous" Steve .....I am delighted with mineimage.  Look forward to seeing the planting coming together ......keep us postedimage.

Cute gerbils - do they have names yet ???

Back from our day trip, weary but happy.  Great walks again - this time St James's and Belgravia. Lots of gorgeous hidden little mews ....so quiet even though they are slam bang in the centre of an enormous city.  And just to prove that I can bring a gardening angle to everything I do image:

I like all the crab apples. They make great jelly jam.
