    Morning all.

Weekend guests all gone home now so its back to just little ol me image

The weather is a total washout at the moment image we were supposed to make a start on the Jungle today but that looks unlikely so I might take a trip to some local gardens to get some inspiration and ideas.

Morning all. Hope all goes well for Hosta.

    We are going exploring.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Just been to open the greenhouse, and found a Wren in there. No idea how it got in, when it was all closed up.

Right guys just to warn you the kitchen is now sparkling. I WILL HURT ANYONE WHO MESSES IT UP!!!

Seriously I shouldn't be finding quite so many car parts in here people; isn't that what the lounge is for??

Solent; the weather here wasn't the most inspiring but is slowly breaking the sun out. I hope you get a little inspired; don't be tempted to pick up too many bargains though! It quickly turns into an addiction.

I'm making the most of the chance to dry clothes outside by giving the washing machine quite the work out. Hurrah for spring!

Clarington - I know just what you mean.  We have almost finished emptying stuff from our kitchen and wrapping up bookcases in the hall so we can sand and repair plaster before painting and making ours all sparkling clean and tidy.   Woe betide anyone who messes in there afterwards, including OH who you'd think would know better after all the cleaning and sorting and decorating effort.

GWRS - thanks.  No dancing today but Soul tomorrow, salsa on Wednesday and ballroom on Friday plus an extra practice session of soul, salsa, disco rock and boogie on Thursday - just once a month that one.

Well done for the war memorial project.   They do look after them very well here - both village memorials which list their own dead - soldiers and civilian resistance plus those who died after being deported to slave camps - as well as the local and allied cemeteries for fallen soldiers and airmen.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Obelisk it's amazing how those who know are usually the worst offenders!

Pork is in the oven for a delayed Sunday roast. I know it sounds daft but do people still have proper roasts very often? I'm wondering whether it's one of those things is disappearing for the younger generation at least. I can't think of many of my friends who ever mention having a roast with all the trimmings.

Funny what your brain can come up with.

We regularly have a roast Clari - but not at weekends. Girls aren't here usually, and if I'm walking I'm often late home, so we do it during the week on  a night when we're all here. The girls enjoy it and older fairylet can do the whole thing herself - sometimes does it when they're at their dad's during holidays  image

Haven't caught up with everyone's doings so I'll have a read back. Have we heard any news of Hosta yet?  image

obelixx  - know what you mena about the mess - especially sanding plaster.  I'm about to embark on a couple of months of it now as the builders start on Thursday with my extension. I'm already p****d off at where they've put the barrow and cement mixer etc. and the fact that they took them across the grass instead of using the path.  I should be used to it but I hate the thought of it. image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
