Naughty Boy Verdun, I gave them best of three falls for the cherries, I think they won?
Yes Treehugger80, the same Stockton although there are ten in England and one I know of in California. When I visited them last we crossed the South Bay Bridge went down Durham Road to Stockton, I thought they had set it up but apparently quite a few Durham men went to California for the Gold Rush. We had a lovely meal with a German Family who were amazed we came from Stockton. Born in Norton when it was separate from Stockton an idyllic village to grow up in and now living on the outskirts one foot in the Countryside where I walked my little Westy through woods and fields, passing babbling brooks seeing the Seasons pass with all the joys of that yes, even winter, who would live anywhere else despite the king of the North Sea having his weather way with us.
Weather on the Tees, patchy cloud all round yet the sun is shining on me, windows open a gentle breeze very warm more sunbathing then to complete my tan which came rather late this year. Two days in Daughters gardens with Grand children dogs and people coming and going topped me up in the tanning stakes.
Some sun, some cloud but mainly hot and little wind. Wish it would rain during the nights - don't we all, as all our water butts need some water in them.
No tanning going on here - though there's a fair amount of sun, and a great deal of warmth, here in the Pennines. Factor 30 has to be slapped on since, though none of my family burn easily in the sun, both my parents had to have basal cell carcinomas removed (that's the non-malignant form), and my sister has had 2 primary melanomas (the malignant sort) removed - hopefully early enough to prevent recurrence.
Take care in the sun, folks. It's not worth dying for a tan.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Hosing down! This morning started well and I got loads done but I've had to abandon everything under cover for fear of electrocution/frizzy perm/no eyebrows!!!
Thank you Joyce. I had a cuppa and a Bounty! I'm waiting for it to clear so that I can retrieve my stuff from my woodland glade...yes Lantana if you're looking. Woodland glade.

That's ***** sickening pp but I don't know if the frizz and lack of eyebrows would suit you
Have a well earned rest.

But I wish it would rain, just one day, and water the garden!
