You can have our rain for a bit, with pleasure. The ground is saturated. A week or two of sunshine, and we will have a jungle.

Cleared up lunch time yesterday as promised, took the dogs out then to Ashdown Forest, OH dug down a spades depth to get clay out of the side border, its now some kind of water feature.

Overcast but dry here, will make the most of it to get stuff done outside before the rain returns on Saturday.

It's not raining! Can't stop, on a tea break.

  • I love the sound of trickling water - it is so therapeutic - do you have visiting heron problems with your koi and goldfish Doghouse Riley? Been lovely today, after a dampish start the temperature rose and we had sunshine.

About 12 raindrops overnight but cooler today which is great for the plants.

Does anyone hear know of a good way to propagate a rose?  I have a beauty that I dug up from a ditch a couple of years ago, it is a fabulous repeat bloomer, largish full, pink rose with a lovely scent.  So would like to have more to give away.

Sun was out at 5.30, where did it go!

  • Dry and humid during the day but the rumble of thunder a couple of hours ago and the dark sky are probably the forewarning of a noisy night to come ....
