I have a 'proper' birdbath too obelixx, this is for fox and hogs but when the starlings get in the tall one the smaller birds just pile in to the dish Oh Verdun I am off to the fan to dream of breezes.

Pleased that someone won Summer this year Verdun, it has felt like a gathering tropical storm here the past few days but cooler today thank goodness. I have relatives in N Devon and remember many idyllic summers in Clovelly and Bideford aside from my uncles putting me off shellfish for life
My husband reckoned we had our own weather system here created by all the jet engines moving the air around at Heathrow, he may have been right. Anyway there is a bit of a breeze today although it is very overcast and most of the cloud is grey but very good for me Yippee!

Update: inspired by your mowing record Verdun I was thinking that could be my next job, just finishing my coffee and it is tipping it down. Weirdly the black cloud above has bright edges all round, its like being in a cartoon. Wonder if I walk up the road will it follow me? Best have another cuppa then......

Just as we are about to partake in one of the music festivals here today the skies are turning darker and the wind is blowing up - brollies at the ready as I feel determined to catch the sound of my favourite local groups whatever comes our way from up above. I suppose you are bathed in sunshine yet again Verdun, too much of a good thing comes to mind ........
Horrible here. Too hot to wear a coat, too wet not to wear a coat. I'm making chutney with my overgrown courgettes and under-ripe tomatoes instead of gardening today
Gardening on the edge of Exmoor, in Devon
