Starting to get a little desperate for some decent rain here after a very windy weekend (wind is as drying as sun IMO) and before we have another hot spell this weekend.
Met Office forecast said 70% chance of heavy rain at 4pm - I counted 25 rain splats on my dustbin lid No more rain forecast for next 7 days
On a positive note - I haven't needed to cut the grass for 2 weeks
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Hello each and all, spent the last sixteen days gazing out of the window at the top of the hospital, waking up at six each day and watching the weather to the west. Each day started clear and sunny then it went downhill although that view made me realise how green Stockton on Tees actually is, makes you count your blessings. Day after I spoke to you "J" I fell owing to various infections thus my entry through A&E, the NHS care and efficiency took care of the ills though always glad to get home. Wonderful people working long shifts always short handed and using some dodgy instruments, it took three blood pressure machines one morning before one worked, the money goes in the top and never filters down to where it is needed.
Another beautiful day, warm, dry, and fairly still. Chance of rain this evening/night and then more sunshine for the next few days if you believe the forecast. Some night time rain would be welcome here.

Sunny and warm here in SW Scotland.
Suddenly turned squally here in Norfolk. First rain we've had in a bit. Don't think it'll be enough to fill the butts tho'.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

It's rained all day today - and I had planned to plant my new plants I bought last night. Guess they'll have to wait till tomorrow.
