    Forecast was spot on - 36°! We went to the supermarket this afternoon to enjoy the air conditioning and the cold food shelves.image

    Boiling!!! Luckily it's not too bad here by the sea and I'm pretty sure we will be off swimming in it later.

    its 10am and my thermometer outside in the shade is already ready 26, the one in my office is reading 29. I've got a team building/work crew from Marks and Spencer due to clear an allotment at 1pm for three hours.

    somehow I don't think we'll be getting much work done!

    32.9c here in Norfolk, and that's in the shady alleyway with a breeze image

    Ive just watered all the pots again and have left the hose running by the grapevine and rhubarb.

    Worried for my lovely red Acer which is in direct blast of the sun now! Do you recommend showering them then Doghouse? I know they prefer dappled shade usually so my potted ones are ok.
    My garden and I live in South Wales.

    Well I've 'seen' your Acers (Doghouse) so I will take your advice. I must admit that I was 'taught' not to water in the sun as leaves can scorch but I haven't seen proof so I'm off to get the hose out...

    might 'accidentally' spray myself too!
