Welcome Betty image  Good to 'meet' you image

I've been into the city and bought pattern and wool for 'matinée coat' for nephew's baby due in May.  Then I discovered that despite having all my needles, all Ma's needles and all of Little Granny's needles, I didn't have the size I needed - so I've braved the ring road at rush hour to get the right needles from Hobbycraft.

As I drove into the carpark I just managed to avoid a liver-roan cocker spaniel without  collar, lead or human being who was dashing across the carpark on his own at full speed.  He seemed to know where he was going - I hope he did - last seen disappearing under an archway near the river, with several people standing watching as he flashed past.

Horrible hailstones this afternoon at work - and here I presume as it's fairly near. Some very ominous clouds hanging around.

I'm the sane one.image KEF and I are the two sensible normal people here, at least she used to say she was.image

Shall now go and cook a normal chicken stir fry with rice for dinner.

eek!! I'd hate to be considered "normal". Sounds rather dull to me.

Fairy image I spoke to Wonky this morning - she hadn't eaten anything but dried toast, but at least that had stayed put.  I won't ring her any more in case she's sleeping - she said she really wants to go to work tomorrow, so plenty of rest today is important.

Not sure if I'm sensible or normal, but I make sure everyone has enough cake and coffee image

Hope she's ok soon. Plenty of rest and not much else seems to be the best way of dealing with these things.  Older fairylet has been unwell too with a cough/cold but also sick - very unusual for any of us to be sick. It seems to be doing the rounds here.

    You 'normal' Hosta... image  never....image

Heavy hail shower and now rain. Ah - springtime weather image

I've sown some more sweet peas and  stuck more Acidantheras in little pots while waiting for dinner to finish cooking.

Cake would be nice right now   image
