Oh star I am sorry, I didn't realise either.hugs to you and her family We have lost too many loved ones already this year
reading the riding comments brings back many happy memories of a wonderful childhood. i am old enough to remember the thrill of riding on the beach with the wind blowing your hair, no hats needed then! F b had her beloved mare for about17 years!
It looks like our field is being measured up for gd, nothing would give us greater pleasure but I am not mucking out, way too old for that!!!

My childhood into teenage years (with my younger brother and sister) were spent trekking through the nearby woods on our ponies at weekends and school holidays. Along with taking part at our local Shows and Pony Clubbing. Happy memories and we were constantly busy ... no mobile phones ... tablets etc etc
Pony Club for me too today, but luckily just as a taxi service to Charlie. I do love horses but not riding, prefer my bike with brakes and a steering wheel.

I was awake until late but still woke around my usual time. Not sure why I didn't doze on the sofa - except that I was knitting (but that's not unusual) and I watched the last episode of Happy Valley (brilliant). I just didn't feel sleepy like I usually do around 8.30
The temp in the back garden d ropped to 6C last night, and is just beginning to climb upwards now - the sky is pale blue with pink fluffy clouds
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Just taking a chance to drop in before I get out of bed and the busyness continues. My Dad had his op yesterday and it seems all went OK though naturally he was woozy when we visited last night.
The wheelchair was very well received and has been a godsend. KEF you can get from one place to another in record time. Perhaps a little more pursuation needed.
A gardener comes to Mum and Dad's now and when I saw him cutting the lawn remarked that he looked a bit on the old side for such a job I was told he's the same age as me.
I've enjoyed all the riding stories/experiences which brought back fond memories of the riding school I went to (another mucking out for free rides) where we used to go to summer camp with the horses.
Glad all went well with your Dad Lesley. Age is just a number - it's how we feel inside and that's 27 Hope you had time to enjoy some birthday cake too
Happy Valley was good Dove - looking forward to Line of Duty returning next week though. It's terrific.
Cloudy and cool here like yesterday but I'll be at work anyway.
Have a good day everyone - or as good as you can make it
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
