KEF Thanks I did not really like broad beans till I started growing them, I have a raised bed in the garden for beans cram it in with runners, French beans and also do tall beans and dwarf beans and broad beans so build wigwams

Went to the station done some litter picking, could not do it all as old litter is now visible as they cut down lots of shrubs and trees, lucky the cherry trees are still there so will get to see the pretty flowers, but lost a lot the apple tree amongst the brambles and the holly tree it looks balder there now

The garden looking ok as planted a few primula there last week and the pony tail grass is looking great and thanks to all who donated plants, Lesley shoots of the crocosmia have started appearing

I took sanctuary in the tunnel to-day.

Still splitting Hostas. I start with about 5 and seem to end up with about 14. Not the worst problem in the world, but it's finding the space to replant them .

Hope to finish tomorrow then it's onto agapanthus. ( now I've emptied the hostas from their big pots)

    Devon.

Worrying times LilyP - empathetic ((hugs)) from me.

Cardiologist not too sure about MrC - in for an exercise ECG next week and then maybe another angio to see whats going on.  But told us not to worryimage.  Desperately trying to find the "off" setting on my worry switch, but at the moment it is eluding meimage.  But second LilyP's thoughts - good pals are a great help.  Thank you all.

Evening all. Never said good morning. We went out to supermarket, lunched in the self service Chinese then went to the GC and I bought some plants and fertiliser. Used my voucher but spent well more. Haven't been to the GC since I bought the Christmas tree. They had peanuts for birds, first time I've seen them in France, also bought a feeder to put them in.

So sorry your husband is still having problems, Chicky. Hard not to worry when OH's aren't feeling right.

    Has rained all day.

    Evening all,

Chicky, Lily, I wont tell you not to worry, it's like saying don't think of the colour blue.  I hope you both get good news soon.

Spent the day with poorly grandaughter, ear ache no fun especially when you are two. She's been to GP this evening, hope the antibiotics kick in quickly.

No snow here but secondborn drove home through a blizzard that stopped about a mile away from home.

Have just been looking at photos of her house, it's horrendous, I can't see how it can possibly be ready in time, Junior is scheduled to make an appearance in 8 weeksimage I think we might need another plan of action.  Firstborn has said she can move in with her if he makes an early appearance, they have a lot more room than we do, it would be a bit chilly for a new born in a conservatory even with heating.  At the moment the house has no kitchen, no bathroom, no boiler, no ceiling in some rooms and a fair few walls missing.

Hubby has his final visit to hospital re his eye tomorrow, it's much better than it was but even with new glasses he is still finding he gets headaches.

    Have a good evening everyone.

Hi everyone, I am new to this this kind of thing and have never posted before on anything other than once on a well know social media site which was an experience and I soon deleted my account due to wild and out of control reactions that I witnessed to other peoples posts. I know I am a coward.

Anyway I don't know if anyone else feels the same but I am fed up with all this rain, its making my garden a mush and doesn't exactly make me feel garden orientated. Looks like I am a fair weather gardener. Everything seems better when the suns out. Although I have just bought myself a Prunus Hillieri Spire.....first time of ordering a tree from on line. It arrived today in a smaller box than I had expected.....I have yet to peek inside. Plan to plant it tomorrow if the rain holds off.
