My 2 dogs love coming to the allotment, they are supposed to be on leads but they sit around watching me work or go and hunt the fox that hangs around!
The pace is beginning to quicken on the allotment, despite all the snow, in-between during snow free days there has been more activity.
I was voted onto the committee at the AGM as Communications Officer, it's a new position, how difficult can it be...ever so excited about it.
I've been sowing seeds in GH, pea's and beans, indoors I'm going to start aubergines, chillies and peppers this weekend. I'm amazed sweet pea and some hardy daisy seedlings have survived in the GH with the minus temps we've had.
The plot is nearly half planted up if you count fruit tree's, bushes, artichokes, asparagus, rubarb, autumn onions, garlic and shallots. Spring bubs are all showing with dafs coming into flower.
Has any one drawn up a ground plan yet, ? Aldi have their garden stuff in this week.
Dovefromabove I got outside yesterday so sunny and nice so painted my bird house and some wood brown
zoomer That is great - my sweetpeas survived even in a plastic gh- sowed some more the other day so some for garden and allotment plot
I went to Aldi got some of the net long cloches as great price normally about £20 each or just under - also a pear tree got me on way as I spotted the fruit trees in - so had to get it, a plastic / metal framed cloche and some pots

No plan drawn up yet - lots to do got a letter from council uncultivated/ overgrown plot so 4 week to get lots improved - makes it stressful - just because it has been so wet so not done digging yet just compost bin building - means I have to stop what doing to do different things
