  • Hi all,

Got cracking on my new half plot on Saturday evening, filled 2 huge  builders bag we had a gravel delivery in and filled it with all the rubbish that was piled up against the shed. Burnt as much as I could too.  Cleaned out the rubbish in the shed and on Sunday gave it a coat of wood preserve. Shed has gone from worthy of demolition to looking almost new! Hubby fixed the latch for me, I weeded around it to make an area to put my table and chairs on , laid some membrane and covered  with wood chips, so its ready to go!.image

Made a start on digging an easy patch, some areas are very compacted and weedy so have started to cover them. Plan to put raised beds where the worst of the mares tail is.image

Chinese man who gave up this plot for me has taken a whole plot further down, no 7, perhaps he thought it is lucky!image

  • Tiny bit of snow today, Wednesday is my day off so hoping that the bit of ground I covered over at the weekend might be diggable!

Picked up a couple of window panes from a glaziers to make a cold frame with a pallet collar. The amazing this was..they fitted like they were made to measure, how's that for luck!!

Sorted my camera so will take some pics tomorrow.
