Hi all, my day off on Wednesday was another wash out so I went to B&Q to stock up on compost, seeds and grabs 4 bags of seed potatoes. Got some John Innes for the seedlings, hope its good at that price!

Picked up some hellebores and primroses for the garden as it looks a bit bleak this winter. I have lots of pots of Daffs and Tulips waiting to go in, will do that at the weekend.

Speaking of Tulips, Monty Don in Turkey last night ....!! how mad was that colour scheme!!image

    Have a good weekend image

  • Today’s been a bit wet but nothing I can’t handle! Been very productive and thrown some muck and compost on some beds, planted some garlic and protected from birds with homemade cloches!

now for tidying the shed and taking some shelving for it ready for chitting potatoes by the window! Happy allotmenteering everyone.....February is just round the corner!

Scroggin good you going for the diary too

Went to the potato day brought some potatoes a new variety for this year called Vitabella to try and 4 others Winston, Gemson, Gatsby and Pink Gypsy 5 spuds of each

Got a few broad beans and peas - prices gone up this year  and they seemed to have sold out a lot of beans

Did some seed swapping have now turnips, mixed beans and some strawberry sweetcorn which is a popping corn will be interesting trying that

Did the bird watch and spotted a few daffs in flower near pond that was nice also while doing the birdwatch a blue tit was checking out the house looking at the hole so that will be nice if it moves in
