Went up to allotment this afternoon , first time in 3 weeks , everything looked OK , lovely sunny day

Had took some Gooseberry runners lady year cut them and grown them on , so offered these to friends dug up 4 good size plants and delivered them

Dalias blackend so cut bed down in front of shed and composted them , will need to put compost on them for over wintering in the ground

    Lots to do as ever

May pop up there Sunday for couple of hours

Everybody busy as ever image Hope you are keeping well

  • Hi GWRS, all my Dalia's blackened now too so dug them up and storing them in the garage for the winter, will plant them in a different spot next year.image Hope to get to the plot tomorrow, still got cabbages and leeks to put in. Have a good weekend everyone.image

Dropped of some muck at plot today. It's very cold here, snow was forecast during week.

Think I've missed sowing broad beans, and remainder of garlic cloves may need to be planted in modules.

Dug up my Dahlia's a few weeks ago.

Hoping to go to plot tomorrow to cover another bed.

  • Zoomer broad beans are hardy sowed mine on Friday with mixed in muck added to the area

allotment today looks nice and sunny

Hello , yes been up to plot   Nice sunny day

Cleaned Dalia bed and covered with own made compost as I leave them in the ground

I had put old compost in the compost bins but there must have been coir from hanging baskets , what is interesting is that it had never rotted down

Also tidied up fig tree as all the leaves had fallen , pruned and took off 193 unriped figs I was amazed at the number

Lots of other jobs , including starting recovering paths with shredded material

Need to start havesting stuff soon

Gardengirl hope weather holds do you can get shed finished

Went to the plot this morning, got lots of jobs done. Surprised to find the water still on so have e-mailed association. It's usually turned off in October.

Gg, can you PM me your address so I can send pumpkin seeds.

Picked some kale and lettuce. Quite a few people there today.

  • Zoomer will PM you, the water stays on,  on the site I am on,   lettuce that is good I did not sow enough only keen mainly on the red lettuce

Did you want any seeds from me to swap with?

GWRS lots of figs - is it a big tree?  thanks with shed still have one side to go and a half before painting and starting inside off - do like the pallet wood effect (colour) but best to make the wood last longer and protect it
