  • Only since Christmas! I need to be patient, image. I pass the allotmentS on the way to work every day, like a carrot being dangled! I should have applied earlier

You might be lucky and get a plot before Spring. Three in the que isn't many.

. We have our AGM in February. Early this year, the secretary is standing down.

Good luck TyCerrig - Our fees are payable at the beginning of the year so that is when plots become available.  Your plots maybe the same so you maybe a plot holder sooner than you think - Good Luck.

Yes good luck Tycerrig , this is a good site for practical advice , I would recommend a book on allotments that does a month by month calendar but remember it is only a guide image

  • I floated up to a site which has an allotment association on Sunday, in order to sign on as my site doesn't have those facilities...

The person first in line for a plot on that site has been on the list since 2009! Put myself down on the list too, should have completed my existing plot in 6-7 years?

Forestedge think I will clean the pot may use as a small vase - must be an old paste pot not seen them this shape

Tycerrig good luck on the list it has been a month now you could check at the end of month if you have moved any

Is there a council website with plot list to see if there is an indication of how long it could take to get a plot?

GWRS found lots of things in this bit that we have been digging found labels most broke and a peg which will be usefull for holding netting down, black tied poo bags lots of broken glass and more rubbish well it was a dumping area at one time

Zoomer44 I went to the AGM last year and was not bad not many turned up and got a free meal because of being a member, pud was good and I got a certificate for best potato

Victoria Sponge that is good is it a nice site and shop? some plots do take years to get on to not many plots and people would want to keep their plot if enjoy and doing well

Went to the plot yesterday, and done a bit more digging found gold well it was a bit of gold tinsel, lots of weeds, was a foggy day could not see the field or most of other plots later in the day as the fog was coming back in

I think we are going to admit defeat and give ours up, at the weekends we have no one to look after the littlies while we get plot bit more child friendly, we'd have to spend loads on getting rid of broken slide, seesaw, old gh etc... think we'll go back on the list in a few years and this time wait for a half plot

What a shame Rosemummy.  Half plots are becoming more popular now and more sensible for today's lifestyle.  Get your name down now for a half plot.

Rosemummy , can understand but have you thought about asking if you can have half the plot , we let people do that on our site , could be worth a try after all the effort you have all ready put in

    All the best whatever image
