Got a backache today, did too much yesterday, but the weather was so nice. Got a load more bags of muck from the stables that had to be wheelbarrowed quite a way to my plot, and then dug over one of my beds ready for the onions,(havnt done any digging for ages).
Found some stray potatoes while I was digging so they were last nights supper, along with more courgettes of course.
Made 4 bottles of Sloe gin for Christmas pressies!
Went to plot yesterday sorting out pallets need more for shed out sides as planks so will try get some but take them apart before getting in the car so get more
Done a bit of digging on an area, then had a visit from another plot holder with my money change for the scaffolds boards which was nice
Today done some bits in the garden - bit of digging and bulb planting alliums and tulips and a few daffs - rip van winkle, planted few bits back after digging the area then covered it with bark chippings collected from the allotment - got to have some perks with getting it free on site
Went to the allotment sawed up rest of wood (scaffold boards) for the raised beds in the garden
Went round plot harvested potatoes, beetroot, little courgette, and a big celery first time grown one that big feeding helped them, also collected a few seeds of flowers
Went to wicks I now have nails for my pallet shed so hope weather good this week so I can do lots of building
Cleared and covered a bed today. I'm generating alot of green compost but not much brown. Forgot to take garlic and onion sets to the plot hope it's not to late to plant next weekend.
Hi all, went up to the plot yesterday, it was quite busy. Chatted to one of the other people, he said that there are a few vacant plots! (thinking about it!!)
Sieved a load of my compost and put some on the beds and did a bit of mowing. That was all I had time for as had to pick hubby up from work.
Later in the evening did a bit of tidying round my garden at home, and was followed around by a very friendly fox that's been visiting for a while now, Got to within 3 feet of him and gave him some dog food for his dinner!
