Scroggin, trust me...it goes from one extreme to another in the NW. Floods last Winter and no doubt if we get continued sunny weather there'll be calls for a hose pipe ban in the summer...image...we another sunny day...image...hope the weather picks up enough for you to plant out..

I've been sowing large seeds on kitchen roll to give them a quick start and to check germination of old seeds. Butternut squash, courgettes, dwarf beans and runner beans have all germinated since the weekend and are ready to pot up.

This 'Q' may have been asked before but which part of the country are you, scroggin?

Another sunny day here in the NW. Went to the plot this morning to water and did some weeding. There's a nettle patch which is looking very lush so will be cutting them back soon to make a nettle brew.

Other plot holders must come in the afternoon or during the week! There was only one other car parked?  It's been getting to hot for me though, so was packing up at 11.30.

    Hope everyone is well.

Good to hear the weather has picked up down south.

Went to the plot after tea, did a few jobs, then picked some flowers and rubarb.

Zoomer44, I'm also astonished at how few people there are on our site even when the weather is nice. Which it is, finally! And I've got two weeks off, so I'm spending at least this one gardening.

Enjoy the weather everyone, wherever you are. I'm so glad I didn't take my holiday last week instead of this one as I'd originally planned - sometimes there are advantages to being disorganised!

I've cleaned and disinfected the GH and painted shading on, planted an enormous amount of plants, scattered tons of slug pellets, netted the strawberries, dug and weeded, moved turf, sowed more seeds, watered,... I'm tired! But it's great to be able to be outside in this weather. It'll be tough to go back to the office.
