OMG Terry29, that photo of all that flytipping is shocking. Shame you cant get it dumped in front of the travellers entrance !!! Good luck with getting in, that must be so annoying for you all
Not much going on at my plot, the rhubarb is coming through and the onions etc are doing fine. Still putting off sowing till March.
Shed looking good Yer man, wish I had a larger one than the rented ones we have on our site, I cant even stand in mine with all the tools and stuff inside. If it rains, I go in my polytunnel!
We managed to get to the lotty last weekend and the weekend before to clear half of it and dig. Last weekend was very boggy though. My neighbour at home gave me some rhubarb plants and I planted them at the lotty. But I wondering if that was a good idea...the ground was so wet...my welly sank into and OH had to pull me out! I put the rhubarb plants on top and tried to pile some soil round them so they weren't buried too deep. So now I'm thinking they will either be soggy and rot away or this cold weather will freeze and kill the roots!!
Terry29 that fly tipping is disgraceful...we have a problem with travellers on our local rec doesn't seem to be much the council can do. They have put huge earth mounds to stop them but there's also a gate which 'accidentally' was left unlocked. They even parked up on Bournemouth sea front once! Right on the East cliff.
Yerman..wow that shed looks huge! That would take up half my plot lol!
YerMan good going getting the shed up and help with painting super fast, looks a good size shed
Went to the plot yesterday went into shop brought some seeds red cabbage and flowers managed to do some digging and leveling weather was colder than Saturday - north wind
Today went and got some free paving slabs from Gumtree add, going to do a path in garden as was grass now just muck next to a ground frower bed and inbetween my raised beds
Nice looking shed there Yerman . What did you construct the base from , was it slabs and if so what did you lay them on ?
Don't think I would waste a load of manure on these idiots GWRS , would rather use it on my plot , now 5 ton of builders rubble that's another matter !
Consoled myself this weekend by sowing a batch of Broad Beans in pots ready for when I can eventually get back to the allotment.
Yes we've been thinking that. There's a fellow plot holder who has been there for 30 years who was advising us to do this also. It's better here than our other plot. It was at the bottom of the site which is sloped so all the rain used to collect down there!
Feels like the finding nemo film at the moment...just keep digging...just keep digging!
Finished lifting the paving slabs out of the car and taking them down the garden, spotted a butterfly near by and a big bee in garden so maybe they are starting to come out
Went to the allotment later done a bit more digging - still more to get done, was a bit boggy in one bit
Did get this massive root not sure if it was a dock it was like a 5cm round tree root, looks like lots of my bulbs are coming up even spotted a flowering crocus on a plot near by

Managed to get the shed up today, and even put a coat of weather-proofing stain on it. Long day, but feeling proud.
Don´t know if I would start a tipping war with travellers to be honest. But don´t know what I´d do in the same situation either. Nightmare!
GWRS: What kind of plum tree is it? Have you got others?

Janet , hello , the cold should not hurt the rhubarb , not sure about it being so boggy thou
Best of luck with the digging , you may need to put a soak away in if is to boggy ?
