Oh Doghouse, theres a picture!! You in just the old hat. Reminds me, (not that I will EVER forget) about 30 years ago, my first husband had his own cleaning business, his accountant bought n empty farmhouse, asked us to clean it, no furniture so he put us up in a very pretty B & B near Petworth, so we get there at the appointed time, because its basically a house, there is no recepction as such, no bell and no-one, try calling out, no response, so I go exploring, find a victorian walled garden, get right to the end, theres a chap probably in his 70s, gardening, with his back to me, wearing a panama and NOTHING ELSE, I didnt want him to now he d been spotted so I crept backdwards down the path, out of the garden, back to the hall, crying with laughter, corse (ex) Hubby doesnt believe me, we ate with the couple that night, and I was nearly choking with laughter, still laugh about it now!
Moved some plants into 'Siberia'. They were destined for the compost heap but I couldn't do it. They must now chose whether to live or die.
Cleared a ,large for me, bed and now I understand the OMG feelings behind the 'what shall I do with this space' posts. Put in a couple of clematis that I had knocking about, campanula, geranium and chives. Still a lot of space to fill. Oh goody!
Huh, I was just going to put had a lovelly day with Daryl and Lou12, lunch out and spending spree, not going to now, sulk!!!! Daughter and grandkids arrived just after I got home, just watered, no gardenig, manyana or mahana, depending on how Spanish you are!!!!
I summer pruned all the dwarf apples. Then blocked the shredder with the prunings. I surprised a small mouse on top of one of the builders bags of compost.
I got quite a lot done. Planted two virginia creeper root cuttings which had grown well. Fixed the trellis they are to climb up to get them past the fence and onto some tree stumps.
Then I collected up a lot of the London pride offsets I was using as ground cover to edge some borders.
I also have a good collection of bugle plants which are providing really good ground cover to keep weeds down until I find some more impressive plants to fill the space. Still an awful lot to do before the borders will look decently stocked though.
My budget does not run to buying all the plants I want at once. I am getting quite adept at splitting up clumps though. Does anyone want any Veronica Tissington white. ? I also got several offshoots off a salvia.

Hello , no real gardening today , just moved a few pots around this afternoon
I was corrupted by members of this forum and went on a garden centre spending spree :-/ I had to plant 22 plants in this heat, I am exhausted.

No but the new population of rabbits in the area have been busy
Rudbekias, asters and antirrhinum all gone.
I will have to change a lot of my planting to rabbit-proof plants.
Hello no gardening for a week or so as on holiday
I summer pruned all the dwarf apples. Then blocked the shredder with the prunings. I surprised a small mouse on top of one of the builders bags of compost.
A spot of idle watering, paying particular attention to my feet.
