HHacking back the weeds around the compost bins. They seem to be ridiculously rigorous; must be some good stuff in this bins!

The hound has been happily digging up various areas of the garden to cheer himself up. If only I could train him to dig in nice straight lines!

Have planted out the tomatoes, 8 outside and 7 in the GH, and 6 sweet peppers outside. Dug manure and compost into the planting holes.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Not so much gardening as maintenance.  Yesterday I got out the new Karcher and blasted the terrace to clean up all the slabs and granite pavers then left it to dry out.   OH swept away all the crud this morning and we brought out our teak table which I have also now spent ages Blasting with the Karcher.

I've sprayed the table, terrace and front access path and old cobbled road with anti algae - an experiment - and now need to oil the table while dinner's cooking.  Bank holiday here so a roast chuck with baked beetroot and other goodies.  Possum is threatening to make chocolate fondants.

Weeded three paths, really rather rewarding!
