  • Had a much better day today, was nice and sunny too which helpedimage

Arranged my new and newish plants and hardy seedlings around the garden, left in pots for now though.

Received some compo from a on-going faff with a service provider and found it almost covers a couple of plant wishlists. Faff isn't resolved but the plants will help heal the woundimage

Started off sunny, we went shopping. Came back, it was raining. Stopped raining so we went out to attack the Felicité Perpetué rambling rose which had grown too big for it's boots and had lots of dead wood in it, prickly. But found a blackbird's nest with warm eggs in it so had to stop. Prunings everywhere but they will have to wait.

Hostas, allium and echinacea starting to appear ..... No doubt the slugs won't be far behind, so sprinkled handfuls of grit around.

Weeded a bed on the kitchen terrace. Where did all that grass come from? It wasn't there last year.

Always used to amaze me how I struggled to grow the perfect lawn and yet my borders would boast the world's lushest grass with beastly roots!
