Thanks Liri.  The river levels are still desperately low . Hope your water butt's filled up a bit at the cottage!

GD - at the front of the trees in the foreground of that pic - just to the right of centre, there's a solitary swan.  I was hoping it's mate was waiting nearby and I just couldn't see him/her....image

I was hoping to take a pic of the Lake of Menteith on the way through The Trossachs, as it was looking beautiful, but there's no place to safely stop at the best viewpoint. It's Scotland's only lake image

Fortunately - the lush growth was still quite dry too  image

The bracken can be hideous if you're going through it when it's wet. It gets up to almost my head height in summer. I'm only little....image

The long days are good, but the short wintery days are also fantastic. We've been very lucky to have a lot of clear days though. Often the summer's the worst time to walk in terms of good visibility. The changing seasons can create such diversity in a landscape image

Hi everyone, I've not posted a picture for a while, so here is a Weasel, which is probably my fav animal and such a wonderful creature.

Thanks Fairy - yes, we have rain water at the cottage.  They had heavy rain last week.  The spring is flowing again too, I'm happy to say...

I'm so envious of your camera and your skill Sheps!  Stunning pic  image

We had a resident weasel at the last house. He was delightful to watch. They're fantastic little animals  image

What a wonderful shot, Sheps.  Did you sit for hours waiting for the weasel to come along?

He used to hide in a bit of drainpipe that was lying on the ground behind the house, while we had building work done. He'd nip out and catch the young bunnies when they went by. He also used to run along the window ledge of the conservatory on his way to check out the banks of the pond for anything tasty. He'd peek in for a nosey!  image

Hi Liri...spent a total of 10wks photographing the little chap, but most of that time was spent setting up and waiting, probably on week 9 did I finally manage some shots.

There were Stoats at the same site too.
