Thanks, Joyce......even if the wings are a tad blurred. I could have probably captured them in focus by increasing the shutter speed even further, but you'll probably agree that the blurredness gives a feeling of rapid movement.
I'm just learning to use a DSLR for the first time so my photos are very hit and miss! But here's one just for fun from early year visit to Edinburgh Zoo. (Not my normal habitat!). The expression on the pelican just looked so comical.
The Blue Tit - I've put on another thread here about fledglings I think - but it was my first 'in focus' success with those far too fast moving Blue Tits.
And this was practising night shots outside St. Giles Cathedral here in Edinburgh.
Nice shots, yarrow.......would I be right in guessing that you took night shot in Edinburgh using a very slow shutter speed, with your camera on a tripod?
There have been some unfortunate changes to the forum of late and the present set-up isn't as user friendly as it used to be. However, and to answer your question, click on the rather obscure icon on the far right of the toolbar, from here you will be able to open your picture file from your pc. Choose the picture you want to post and open it.......this should upload it to your message box.

There seems to have been an improvement in uploading pics......this is just a random shot to try it out.
Must have been a glitch
the icon on the upper left was of a proper camera instead of a half hidden 'E'.....alas, as you were!

A rather supercilious pelican
and lovely blue tit
Thanks Joyce 21 - the pelican put me in mind of a politician - but for diplomacy's sake I wouldn't dare venture which one!

Fairygirl - your shots of the hills are wonderful, make me pine for years past. Just lovely.

Let's see yarrow - smug, full of his own importance, ignoring everything round him....yes, definitely a politician....
Lovely blue tit. Aren't they just so tiny when you think how much room those feathers take up
Glad you like the hill pix, kind of you to say so.
Love the blackbird David. I really need to learn a bit about shutter speeds and other more complicated thingies on the camera....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

How do you attach photos, I don't seem to be able to do this.
