Hi Sheps, thanks for the compliments, it was such a lovely day if a little windy - great for walking. It's a borrowed Samsung NX1000 camera but I think it is great - it is my husband that is taking up the photography with a little help from me - I love your sharp, clear picture of the Meadow Pipit, it is a lovely bird.
Hi David...to enlarge the image, right click on the image and select - Open image in new tab...the image will then open in a new window at the larger size.
Lovely pipit pic Sheps. I never manage to get near enough to them to get a photo unfortunately. They're beautiful little birds.
I love your photos GD. What a view across the sea
I'm very lucky to be able to hillwalk regularly - and I never take our glorious hills for granted. They can be both awe inspiring and menacing in equal measure, especially in winter conditions. The drive along Loch Lomond and through to Glencoe is one of the finest there is anywhere and the peace at a summit, when you have a hill to yourself, is like nothing else.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I don't get to Scotland as often as I d like FG but on one trip I went to Glencoe and found it one of the saddest, most haunting places I'd ever been. I'd rattled around Inverness in glorious sunshine and the day I went to Glencoe the heavens opened. It's a truly stunning place.
Most people would give anything to have a little peace - it must be wonderful to get out into the hills Fairygirl - I love living by the sea and would not want to live anywhere else - but woods, rivers & mountains always fascinate me as we have none of these here. I have relations in the Border Regions & we visited my brother when he lived near Dumfries & I will never forget the beauty and isolation of the area. Lovely little squirrel Runnybeak, he obviously enjoys your garden.

Sadly that feature is greyed-out on my PC, Sheps.
PS. Loved the thrush.
Bob - probably one of the best robin shots I've seen.
Meadow Pipit.......sorry!

Great visibility Fairy. Loved the pix
Ignore this, just experimenting with image sizes.
