Did you see the poor bloke who stood for ages with his camera at the ready to try and get a pic of the train as it went past? One of Branson's went the opposite way at exactly the moment he wanted to get the pic. Poor soul!
Mr B's offered him some flights to America apparently. Is it just me that thinks that's a poor substitute!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
deary deary me Fairygirl, that muntjac joke was poor. Have a hart next time eh?
Runny, at the risk of becoming a sleep / insomniac bore, I'd avoid tea ( caffeine ) and I've read that reading is good, but you shouldn't read in the bedroom. You need to train your brain that the bedroom is for sleeping.
The cool tunnel is living up to its name. It's freezing in there with the cold East wind blowing through.
Horray - I've managed my first hour weeding today. There's no soil left In the bed because it's all stuck to the roots but it's progress. Rb, thanks for asking but the foot is still a pain. It's always worse when I've been doing more so I think I will take up residence in the bedroom.
Fairy I missed the guy who was scuppered by a Virgin train - can't help laughing though. I'm sure he'll enjoy his trip.
GWRS a skink is a lizard (I think). Pat has posted a pic of it eating it's carrots before. Pat I hope you manage to get one with the little ones in too. I bet the cats are being driven mad.
Incidentally the Scottish soup Cullen skink doesn't have real skinks in it
After my gardening stint I thought of going for a shower but I'm worried I might break it like DD, Dove and Lizzie.
Builder number three seems on the ball. Going to make a couple of small changes to save a bit of dough. Means no French doors out to the garden or a little balcony (house is quite elevated) but I have to keep a tight hold on the purse strings. Don't want to take out a loan.
I think my joke was far better - I was thinking of adding it to Verdun's joke thread. It was worthy.

No kilt to-day Dove, but I've ended up wearing gloves and a woolly hat. My toes are freezing too. I hate being cold.
Wanna swap Pat? 5C with a chilly east wind.
If you're only wearing gloves and a woolly hat no wonder you're cold - you should put a vest on!
