It helps a lot Verdun, it really does, thanks you everyone.
No chance of that Hosta, I can hardly move him, and I certainly would want him to go to hospital, you have no idea what he's like.
I did get some sleep last night, as he has become incontinent, just to weak to get out and use the commode now, so he slept better knowing everything was all contained.
What a performance getting pads and pants on him though, by myself,,
A district nurse popped in to see how things were and helped with a bed wash. She's not supposed too.
Anyway, I have now tracked down a mobile shop who sells big nappies, so I can just wrap them around, hopefully will be easier.
The chappie from the Peninsula Care came to access this morning and said he would pick them up and pay for them and drop them in later, as I can't go out and leave him.
Their care wil start tomorrow but only half an hour a day, for a start, it's a small private company with only five workers in our area.
As I will be paying privately, I may be able to call on them at other times when things get worse. They won't get worse, we have reached that point today. So things will stay the same for a little while.
Thank you all.

Quick update... After setting up a private care plan and having her come this morning (which was a fantastic help) I've just had a call from the Marie Curie fund, saying dad does meet the criteria for more care and they will provide it, morning noon and night and also a night sit if I need it.
Nurses and doctors have been wonderful, it definitely wasn't there fault it's been so traumatic, they see what he needs but the big powers don't agree, it must be so frustrating for those girls, knowing what needs doing and it isn't forthcoming, anyway, it is now so that's just wonderful.
i can also get the free nappies, which are easier to put on, another bonus, but I will make a big donation to those charity run Marie Currie nurses.
I have the attendance allowance forms, and for terminally ill, there nothing really to fill in, just personal details and jump to the end.
Prayers are well and truly answered, so thank you to everyone who kept us in their thought and prayers. (Overthemoonsmiley)

It's a shame that it's taken so long - but please accept plenty of help - that way you can enjoy the time you have left with your father and not have to be his fulltime carer too

A chink of light, at the end of the tunnel, I hope.

Oh Lyn I am so glad that you got a good nights sleep. I hope things start to improve a little and the care team are angels in nitrile gloves.
But only once a day for half an hour. Still, can't be choosy.
That sounds like you have a bit of hope now Lyn - at least you can get a bit of a break.
It's vital you get some respite too. Love to you all x
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Just had to ring and cancel the paid care, he wasn't best pleased! I just said send the bill for what you've done so far.
Result!
