no problem at all fairy, just popped in the garden to take pics of the two I still have in flower that are dark, sorry but the haspen blood will have to be next year.
Had lots going on this year so behind in the garden and some things went bit wrong! I'm back in the room now!
Hi Fairy. Yes the dog does make us laugh. She just pretends the cat isnt here. I meant to say earlier, that I grew Acidanthera when we lived in Melbourne and at one stage I had a go at painting it. I'll have a scratch around my art/craft room tomorrow to see if I can find it and I'll put a photo of it on for you.
That would be lovely Pat. They're very pretty plants although mine are getting a bit battered with wind and rain just now! I often buy some for gap filling. I don't bother lifting them - they're so inexpensive that I tend to treat them as annuals.
Hi BM - the first one would be terrific if you don't mind. I'll PM you my address later
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Fairy, sorry about it being sideways. I haven't been able to turn it. So, here is my painting of the Acidanthera, which I painted when we lived in Melbourne.

@Pat E,
Nice painting. Here it is right side up.
Thanks Pat - I turned it for you. It's really stunning
The flowers are so delicate. I always love them when they start appearing among my other planting.
